Welcome to Inchgarth community centre's website, the online home for Aberdeen's leading community centre.
Inchgarth is based in the south of the city in the community of Garthdee and while our main catchment area is the communities of Garthdee, Mannofield, Broomhill, & Kaimhill, we have users and organisations from all over the city and the north-east using our excellent facilities and tremendous programme of activities.
With over 200 sessions of activities per week there is something for everyone, every age group. A Forward thinking and proactive centre with a track record of success and service delivery of excellence. For the people- By the people!
It's that time of the year again where Inchgarth invites it's members, users, the community and service providers to our annual big night where we celebrate all that is good, positive and exciting in our centre and community.
This years AGM will also incorporate the MARGARET MORRISON Spirit of the community awards 2013 which sees 6 deserving people being recognised for their dedication, triumph over adversity, commitment or achievement- making a difference to the lives of others.
We also officially cut the ribbon for the opening of Peggy's cafe while we take you on a tour of the centres last 12 months of achievement, events, success and developments. The event is a truly positive and heartening occasion where the entire community gathers for an evening of entertainment, fun, dance, magic, pipers, drummers, singers, food, cheese & wine and celebration as we outline the next 12 months ahead.
Be sure to be early as this event attracts 400+ each year and is completely FREE!
An evening of music and dance with Hungarian dance troupe performing in traditional costume, French & Aberdeen hip-hop companies Vol’k & Hip Hop Scotland plus others is in store for you at the Inchgarth Aberdeen international youth festival showcase.
With 4 tremendous groups and a buffet sponsored by Peggy and Ron Finnie from Finnies the jewellers a great night is assured during this wonderful and eagerly anticipated family occasion. Tickets cost £6 and you can pay at the door. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
We are collecting old clothes, rags, curtains, shoes, hand-bags, material for or clothing bank.
Once we fill a wheelie bin of clothes we obtain anywhere between £10-£17 per bin (depending on weight) and this money is then donated towards future choices mini bus appeal to assist them in their efforts to purchase a new minibus for disabled people. Please help us.
Inchgarth, in partnership with several other agencies will in the coming months open a food bank where we can discreetly donate food parcels to families, individuals, pensioners, who are struggling financially so that they can get back on their feet. Look out for further information on how you can help this cause.
The centre has just re-opened our book bank where you can take books, leave us books and if you feel able, make a small donation which will go towards the future choices mini-bus appeal to transport disabled people and tackle social isolation.
We welcome you to arrange a tour of our facilities and to take the opportunity to showcase all the Inchgarth has to offer. We also like to hear from the public on any issue relating to our services so do not hesitate to get in touch.

Inchgarth community centre is delighted and proud to announce the linking of our centre with a local amateur Football club- Kaimhill United FC.
Kaimhill is a forward thinking club on the up and is looking to work closely with the community to support local young people, participate in community events and indeed invite you- the public, to their home matches which are played at the Garthdee Alpine Sports grass pitches on Saturdays.
Home fixtures will be published here at the start of the new season and Inchgarth encourages our members and community to pop down to the pitches and give a local team your support. We look forward to announcing a fun day for kids and parents which will be supported by Kaimhill UTD FC. and inviting you all to join us for a social sunday afternoon to meet the team.
